Dr. Aaron Lowe holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He currently serves as a Member of Technical Staff at Meta Reality Labs, where he contributes to the development of wearable augmented reality devices. For the past five years, Dr. Lowe has successfully led cross-functional teams in developing microLED display engines, driving innovations from pathfinding to high-volume manufacturing and enabling Meta's project Orion glasses.
Prior to joining Meta, Dr. Lowe worked at Micron Technology, where he focused on new materials pathfinding for next-generation memory applications. During his tenure, he was granted multiple patents and contributed to the successful commercialization of DRAM, NAND, and PCM devices. Building on this experience, Dr. Lowe brings a unique understanding of the complex relationships between materials science, device physics, and manufacturing processes to his work at Meta.
