Kick-off meeting for Women in Photonics Ireland & UK Lecture Series, empowering early career researchers in photonics: Be part of the first-ever Women in Photonics – Ireland & UK meeting — connect, collaborate, and contribute to our community!
Women in Photonics Ireland & UK is dedicated to empowering early career researchers in photonics. Our mission is to create a vibrant space for knowledge sharing, peer support, professional development, and collaborative innovation — with a particular focus on supporting women at the start of their careers.
We are launching a lecture series across Ireland and the UK to foster cross-institutional collaboration, increase visibility, with the aim to help build a transnational network for early career researchers in photonics. This initiative will provide vital career-enhancing support for early career researchers as they transition from postdoctoral positions to establishing their own research groups, while also strengthening their competitiveness in future grant applications.
This network is founded by early career researchers, led by Rekha Gautam together with Elisabeth Wintersteller, Katarzyna Komolibus, and Maria Fernandez, from the Irish Photonic Integration Centre (IPIC) hosted at Tyndall National Institute. While the support is dedicated to women early career researchers, the network welcomes professionals of all career stages, genders, and sectors across Ireland and the UK to join and contribute to its mission.
Membership in this network is available at no cost.
