Photonics Ireland is a community activity that is currently co-ordinated by the Irish Photonics Integration Centre, IPIC, Ireland’s national photonics research centre that is hosted across a number of Ireland’s universities and institutes of technology.

The central focus is the development of a world-class photonics technology infrastructure and high-skilled workforce, through the alignment of research and training programmes across the country. This includes the bi-annual Photonics Ireland conference and participation at leading international conferences and trade shows, such as Photonics West and the European Conference in Optical Communications.
